Pfeiffer, Commissioners Bobby J. Burgin, Charles D. Boyle, Lois J. Compton, and W. A. Stabs, Jr. MEMBERS OF THE CAM/SSION ABSENT: None M,EM,BERS OF THE CGMMISSICN PRESENT: City Attorney Knox 'db'. The minutes of the regular meeting of October 2, 9967, were amended as follows: Item No. 98 - to read - "Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Boyle, that F. B. Reynolds be promoted to Identification Officer, with a X25.00 a month salary increase." + + + 2. Mr. Hiram Angelrequested that Block 969 Town of La Forte, be re-zoned to Commercial andthat the a11ey in said block be closed. The City Attorney advised Mr. Angel of the steps necessary for the re-zoning and alley closing. + + + 3. r'~~r. B. L. Fry, chairman of the Housing Board, presented the Commission a letter and requested that the Commission study it, and discuss it with the Housing Board at a later date. (See Exhibit No. 9). + + + 4. Bids for the purchase of two cab and chassis and one pick-up truck were rE.~ceived. (See Exhibit No. 2). Commissioner Burgin made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Boyle, that the bids be tabled for tabulation and study. Motion carried. + + + 5. Mr. Benjamin Felt, representing the St. Regis Faper Company, discussed the possible use of the bag system for garbage pick-up. + + + 6. The City Engineer presented bids for the construction of water and sewer extensions. (See Exhibit No. 3). A motion was made by Commissioner Boyle, seconded by Commissioner Burgin, that the btds be tabled for tabulation and study. Motion carried. + + + 7. Commissioner~'ompton made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Stabs and carried, that purchases from the following, be approved: Public Sanitary Products Company Mabry Foundry Company Mustang Tractor Company + + + 8. A motion was made by Commissioner Burgin, seconded by Commissioner Compton, and carried, that the following accounts payable be approved: Knox W. Askins Paving Matters 317.50 Idon th o f Augus t 132.50 Tom Ken Printers Ernie's Market 152.44 3 M Products 163.07 T. E. Brown 388.50 + + + 9. Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Burgin, that bids be taken on 500' of 2 '/z " fire hose. Motion carried. + + + 10. The Director of Public Works was requested to prepare an estimate of cost for the repair of the Dog Pound. + + + • ~~. Commissioner Burgin made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Boyle, that the purchase of two car loads of Uvalde Rock be approved, and the the City Engineer pet quotations for the purchase of 200 T of Crushed Stone. Motion carried. + + + 72. A motion was made by Commissioner Boyle, and seconded by Commissioner Stabs, that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign the Roberts Brothers contract, upon approval by the City Attorney.
