The minutes of thereguic•.r meeting of November 6, 1967, were corrected as follows: Item #4 - To Read - "Commissioner Boyle made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Burgin, that the fwo truck chassis and pick-up be purchased from the Cow bidder, Jay Marks Chevrolet, ,7,755.10, and that the two dump bodies be purchased from Gar-Wood, .963.25. Motion carried." /tem #5 - To Read - "A motion was made by Commtssioner Boyle and seconded by Commisstoner Compton, that the Water and Sewer contracts be let to W. C. DuBose, X5,751.80. Motion carried. + + + 2. Commissioner Stabs advised the Commission that the Booster Fire Truck needs to be replaced and recommended that bids be received for the purchase of a truck. A motion was made by Commissioner Stabs, seconded by Commissioner Boyle, that bids for the purchase of a Booster Fire Truck be received at 4:30 P. M., December 15, 1967, in the Office of the City Clerk. Motion carried. + + + 3. The Commission reviewed the vacation policy and stated that an employee should take his vacation, unless a special exception is approved by the Commission. + + + 4. Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Boyle, that a Public Hearing be held at 7:00 P.M., December 98, 9967, to consider the re-zoning of Block 969, Town of La Porte, from Class Residential to Class Commercial. Motion carried. + + + 5. A motion was made by Commissioner Boyle, seconded by Commissioner Burgin, and carried, that the following accounts payable be approved: Mabry Foundry & SuppCy Company 929.79 Gamon Meter Company 928.05 Nead-Guild Equipment Company 269.69 Andy Cordell Brick Company 998.00 Mabry Foundry & Supply Company 990.29 Knox uV. Commissioner Boyle made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Compton, that the following purchase orders be approved: Del Chemical Company - 35 gal De-Tar 952.50 Sceintific Products - 9,205.64 + + + 7. Mayor Pfeiffer called a special meeting for 7:00 P.M, Monday, November 27, 9967, to discuss the Street Paving Program. + + + 8. A motion was made by Commissioner Burgin, seconded by Commissioner Boyle, and carried, that the following employees be given a $25.00 a month raise, effective December 9, 9967: Lyman Cunningham Clifford Ellis + + + 9. Commissioner Boyle made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Stabs, that H. Carlos Smith be authortzed to attend school at Texas A & M University, November 28 thru 30. Mction carried. + + + • 90. A motion was made by Commissioner Compton, seconded by Commissioner Boyle, that the payment of damages to Jimmy D. Rogers, to the amount of $903.60, with proper releases signed, be approved. Motion carried. + + + 99. Commissioner Boyle made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Stabs, that the Commission ratify the purchase of pipe from Fiuor Corporation for X75. per Ton. Motion carried. + + + 92. A motion was made by Commissioner Boyle, seconded by Commissioner Stabs, that the Commission ratify a change order in the Tank Painting Contract to Roberts Brothers Construction Company, increasing the amount of their contract by X6560.00.
