?. The minutes of the regular meeting held on !V'arch 17, 1969, and the
special meeti~°~g held on March 24, 1969, were approved as wriften.

2. Cr. Jack La Rochelle, .'-'resident of the Shady River Civic Association,
stated that the residents of Shary Rive preferred tc remain as is,
but that if it becomes necessary for someone fo annex them, they
request that tt be La Porte rather than any other City.

3. Commtsstoner Burgin made a mottos, seconded by Commisstoner Crofoot
that the Ctty <°dministrator be authorized to have a street light
installed at "B" and 15th Streets. Motion carried.

4. The City Administrator recommended that the Commission consider
a revision to the wafer rates and that action be fakes to the
near furture. He further stated that he would present projected
figures at the next regular meeting.

5. A motion was made by Ccmmtsstoner Compton, seconded by Commisstoner
Burgin and carried, that the ~"fayor be authorized to stgn an application
to HUI~ for a workable program in relation to a Neighborhood lmprovemenfs
project .

6. The Commission was asked to check the intersection of Forr==st
and 8ayshore as a possible locafion for° a street Zight.

7. Bids were pr-sented fcr the purehase of a las~,•n mower and edger.
(~ee Exhibit No. 1).
Lyman Cunningham recom~::ended that the City purchase the 24" Pathfinder
from Sharp Gra{n C.~mpany, and the edger from La Porte Hardware Company.
Commissioner i?oyle recommended th~t the City accept the low bids.
A motion was made by Commissioner Burgin, seconded by Commissioner
Conic;ton, that the Commissicn accept the recormendatton of r•'r. Cunningham
and purchase the 24" Pathfinder from Sharp v^ratn Company and the edger
from La Porte Hardware Company. Commissioners Burgin, Com..pton and
Crofoot voted "yes", with Commissioner Boyle vo`tng "no". Mot ton
carried.

8. A .motion was made by Commissioner Crofoot, seconded by Commissioner
Burgin, that the regular meeting due to be held cn April 21, 1969,
be postponed until +~'onday, April 28, 1969 at 7:00 P. M,. l~",otior,
carried.

9. Commissioner Boyle made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Crofoot,
that fhe City Administrator be authorized to hire an Engineer to
prepare plans and spec iftcattons for to installation. of a flow meter,
and a retentton tank. Motion carried.
