MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION PRESENT: Mayor H. P. Pfeiffer, Commissioners
E.A. Thomas, Charles D. Boyle, Bobby J. Burgin and H.Gould Crofoot.
MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ABSENT: None.
OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: City Administrator P. V. Werner, City Clerk
Virginia Cline, City Attorney Knox Askins and Director of Public Works
Robert Cline.
PRESIDING: Mayor Pfeiffer.

Mayor Pfeiffer opened the meeting for the purpose of holding a
Public Hearing on the proposed annexation of the following areas.
To-wit:
Tract 9 - College View Municipal Utility District, as defined in
Ordinance No. 832.
Tract 2 - Fairmont Park Community, as defined in Ordinance No. 833.
Tract 3 - Comnunittes of Crescent Shores, Beck Addition, Oakhurst
and Shady Shores, as defined in Ordinance No. 834.
Mayor Pfeiffer asked if anyone wished to speak on the annexation
o f Trac t 9 .
W. A. Stabs Jr. spoke in opposition of the annexation.
Mayor Pfeiffer then asked if anyone wished to speak on the
annexation of Tract 2.
Several residents of the Fairmont Park Addition asked questions
of Mayor Pfeiffer and the Commission. Among those speaking
were Mr. T. O. Martin, Mr. Justin Morrow, Mr. Robroy Carroll,
Mr. Joseph Fabian, Mr. Robert Gunderson, Mr. James McCowen, Mr.
Walter Bowids Mr. Jack Comeaux, Mr. John Davis, Mr. Nesbitt and
Mr. DuPont.
Mayor Pfeiffer asked if anyone wished fo speak on the annexation
o f Trac t 3.
Mr. Bill Love, President of the Oyster Bay Association, spoke
in opposition of the annexation.

Several residents of the Cresent Shores Addition were present.
Mr. D. H. Lincoln Jr. and Mrs. Janis Baker asked the Mayor
and Commission several questions regarding services to this
area.
Mr. J. H. Smith Jr., President of the City Citizen's improvement
Club, spoke in favor of the annexation.
There being no one else to speak on the annexation, Mayor Pfeiffer
declared the hearing closed.

Mayor Pfeiffer stated there existed an emergency issue that
necessitated Commission :~exction at this time.
Motion was made by Commissioner Boyle, seconded by Commissioner
Thomas that it was an emergency to put sewer line across the
new Highway 146 and that the following btds be received.
Mc Key Construction Company X6,000.00
Ross Construction Company X6,400.00
DuBose Construction Company X4,800.00
Squires Construction Co~pany X3,696.00
The low bid from Squires Construction Company for X3,696.00
was accepted. Motion carried.
