MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION PRESENT: Mayor H. Carlos Smith,
Commissioners E. A. Thomas, I. J. Kibodeaux, Bobby J.Burgin
and H. Gould Crofoot.
MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ABSENT: None.
OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: P. V. WERNER, City
Administrator and Virginia Cline, City Clerk.
PRESIDING: Mayor Smith.

1. The City Commission hereby finds, determines, and
declares that the subject matter of this meeting
constitutes an emergency or urgent public necessity,
and that notice of this meeting was posted by the
City Clerk of the City of La Porte, before this
meeting was convened or called to order.

2. Motion by Commissioner Crofoot, seconded by
Commissioner Thomas that the Mayor and City
Clerk be authorized to sign and attest tax
anticipation note in the amount of Thirty-
Two Thousand, Two Hundred Fifty and No/100
Dollars (32,250.00) payable out of current
taxes collected during the fiscal year
beginning October 1, 1969 and ending September
30, 1970.

WAS ADJOURNED.
