A. Thomas, Commissioners C. D. Christensen, I. J. Kibodeaux, G. E. Sampson and C. D. Boyle. MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ABSENT: None. OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: Larry Broussard, Director of Finance; Virginia Cline, City Clerk; Knox Askins, City Attorney; Robert Cline, Director of Public Works and H. F. Freeman, Chief of Police. PRESIDING: Mayor Thomas. + + + Invocation was offered by Comm. Sampson. 1. Motion by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. Boyle to approve the minutes of the previous meeting of December 4, 1972 as presented. Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, Sampson and Boyle. Mr. Eugene Hovey, C.P.A., presented the audit Mr. Hovey report for the fiscal year ending September 30, Presents audit 1972. He stated the general fixed assests group Report. of accounts were not included in the report, but that he hodped to include them in future reports. Mr. Hovey stated the general fund was in the best condition it had ever been in, in the history of the city and that the water and sewer department was showing a 3.1 ratio on debt service, which was excellant. He stated the finicial report was very good and commended the Commission on careful planning and stated he hoped next year • would be even better. Motion by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. Ratify buying Christensen to ratify awarding the bid for two Police cars from (2) police cars to the low bidder, Jay Marks Jay Marks Chev. Chevrolet in the amount of $5,947.00. Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, Sampson and Boyle. NAYS: None. + + + 9. Motion by Comm. Thomas, Mayor MINUTES OF EXECUTIVE SESSION HELD AFTER THE REGULAR MEETING MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor E. A. Thomas, Commissioners C. D. Christensen, I. J. Kibodeaux, G. E. Sampson and C. D. Boyle, and Director of Finance, Larry Broussard. 1. Motion by Comm. Christensen, seconded by Comm. Sampson to increase the Director of Finance's salary to $1,100.00 per month, plus the City will pay employee portion of insurance and • retirement, making a yearly salary of $14,460.00. • Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, Sampson and Boyle.
