Thomas, Commissioners C. D. Christensen, I. J. Kibodeaux and A. Uel Price. MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ABSENT: Commissioner C. D. Boyle. OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: Larry L. Broussard, Director of Finance; Virginia Cline, City Clerk; Knox Askins, City Attorney; Robert Cline, Director • of Public Works; R. R. Hall, Assistant Chief of Police and A. J. Busch, City Engineer. PRESIDING: Mayor Thomas. + + + Mayor Thomas stated that Comm. Boyle and Chief Freeman, who had gone to Dallas to receive delivery on the module ambulance, had been detained, but were expected to arrive within the hour. 1. Mayor Thomas asked if there was anyone present Call for bids wishing to submit bids on Improvements to Pfeiffer Park; Improvements to Central Park; Identification Equipment; Dictating Equipment or the Ten Channel Radio and Telephone System. There being none, Mayor Thomas declared the bids closed. • Mr. Busch read the bids received for tabulation • U • Special Meeting 4/26/73 - continued for improvements to Pfeiffer Park, a copy of which is attached to and made a part of these minutes. Motion by Comm. Price, seconded by Comm. Christensen that the City Engineer be instructed to tabulate the bids received for improvements to Pfeiffer Park and to have the tabulations and his recommendations prepared for the next regular meeting of May 7, 1973. Motion carried by the follow- ing vote: AYES: Commissioners and Price. NAYS: None. ABSENT: Commissioner Christensen, Kibodeaux Boyle. + + 2. Mr. Busch read the bids received for • improvements to Central Park and Vest Pocket Park, a copy of which is attached to and made a part of these minutes. Motion by Comm. Christensen, seconded by Comm. Kibodeaux that the City Enggneer be instructed to tabulate the bids received for improvements to Central Park and Vest Pocket Park and to have the tabulations and his recommendations prepared for the next regular meeting of May-~7, 1973. Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, and Price. NAYS: None. ABSENT: Commissioner Boyle. + -h + 3. Jim Bradford, Grant Coordinator, read the bids received for the dictating equipment, a copy of which is attached to and made a • part of these minutes. Kibodeaux, seonded b Comm. Christensen, seconded by Comm. • Kibodeaux that Mr. Bradford and Chief of Police, Freeman, be instructed to tabulate the bids received for the identification equipment and to have the tabulations and recommendations prepared for the next meeting of May 7, 1973. Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, and Price. NAYS: None. ABSENT: Commissioner Boyle. + + + 5. Jim Bradford, Grant Coordinator, read the bids received for the ten chammel radio and telephone system, a copy of which is attached to and made a part of these minutes. Motion by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. Price that Mr. Bradford and Chief of Police, Freeman, be instructed to tabulate the bids received for the ten channel radio and tele- phone system and to have the tabulations and Bids received for identificatn equipment Bids received for radio and telephone system • • Special Meeting 4/26/73 - continued recommendations prepared for the next regular meeting of May 7, 1973. Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, and Price. NAYS: None. ABSENT: Commissioner Boyle. + + + • 6. Motion by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm.
