Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners
City of La Porte
City Hall
La Porte, Texas 77571
Gentlemen:
This letter is to express my intention to donate securities
having a market value of approximately $10,000.00, to the
City of La Porte, on or before December 31, 1973.
It is my intention and desire that this be an anonymous gift,
and that the securities be sold by the City of~La Porte when
received from me. After such sale, it is my intention and
desire that the City of La Porte place the proceeds of said
sale in a segregated account, to be used strictly for future
additions to the City of La Porte Library Building. However,
any interest which may accrue on such funds prior to the time
that they are used for such building purposes, may be used
for general operational purposes of the Library, such as
purchase of needed books, equipment, and the like.
If the City of La Porte is willing to accept this gift under
the above terms and conditions, I would appreciate your evi-
dencing such agreement by signing and returning to me a copy
of this letter.
Yours very truly,
Catharine ime~lle~" ~`1
