Thomas, Mayor, Commissioners C. D. Christensen, I. J. Kibodeaux, A. Uel Price and C. D. Boyle. MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ABSENT: None. OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: Larry L. Broussard, Director of Finance; Virginia Cline, City Clerk; Knox Askins, City Attorney; Robert Cline, Director • of Public Works; H. F. Freeman, jr., Chief of Police and A. J. Christensen to approve the accounts payable with the addition of Mr. B. P. Johnson's bill for sand in the amount of $48.00, a copy of the accounts payable is attached to and made a part of these minutes. Motion by Comm. Christensen, seconded by Comm. Kibodeaux that a special meeting be called for December 10, 1973 for a Public Hearing on the proposed annexation and that a special meeting be called for December 27, 1973 to consider the final annexation ordinance. Motion carried by the following vote: Public hearing Special meeting: called AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, Price and Boyle. NAYS: None. + + + • 8. Comm. Price stated Garden Walk Townhouses had Street lights requested twelve (12) street lights for the for Garden Walk project and had paid for the cost of the lights Townhouses for one year. Discussison was held on Ordinance No. 705-D, the amendment to the Sub-Division Ordinance regulating street light installations. Comm. Price stated he would explain to Mr. Neel the ordinance required the developer to pay for the lights for five (5) years. Motion by Comm. Price, seconded by Comm. Christensen to approve the installation of the lights when the developer has complied with the ordinance and the plans have been approved by Mr. Cline and Mr. Busch. Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, Price and Boyle. NAYS: None. • + + + r 9 • Regular Meeting 11/19/73 - continued 9. Motion by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. Approval of Christensen to postpone approval of the Master Airport map Map of the Airport until such time as the postponed F. F. A. has given their final approval. Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, Price and Boyle. NAYS: None. + + + 10. Mayor Thomas read a letter from Marvin Zindler, Complaint Action 13, stating he had received a complaint Letter from from Fred Harrellson against the Ctiy of La Porte Marvin Zind= concerning city services not being furnished to ler re: the extreme northwestern portion of La Porte water sere. which was annexed eight years ago. • Mayor Thomas explained that this was the area adjacent to the City of Lomax that he had talked to Mayor Lemon about getting water service for from Lomax. Comm. Kibodeaux recommended that the city attorney and Mayor Thomas meet with Lomax City Officials and work out an agreement to furnish water service to this area. + + + 11. Motion by Comm. Boyle, seconded by Comm. Approval to Kibodeaux to advertise for and accept bids adv. for 2 on December 17, 1973 at 7 : 00 p.m. , for two patrol cars patrol cars. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. Meeting adjourn Boyle that the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried unanimously.
