MINUTES - SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE
LA PORTE CITY COMMISSION, LA PORTE, TEXAS
JUNE 27, 1974
7:00 P.M.
MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION PRESENT: Mayor E. A. Thomas,
Commissioners C. D. Christensen, I. J. Kibodeaux,
A. Uel Price and C. D. Boyle.
MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ABSENT: None
OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: Robert Cline, Director
of Public Works; H. F. Freeman, Chief of Police;
D. R. McLaughlin, Fire Marshal; Duane Matula, Assistant
Fire Marshal; Jimmy Crate, Communications Officer.
PRESIDING: Mayor Thomas

1. CALL TO ORDER - Mayor Thomas called the meeting to
order.

2. EXECUTIVE SESSION TO DISCUSS PERSONNEL MATTERS -
M~ayor Thomas stated under Section 2 (e) of
Article 6252-17 VATS, the Commission would meet
in Executive Session to discuss personnel matters.

Motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by
Commissioner Price to recess into an Executive
Session. Motion carried by the following vote:
AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux,
Price, and Boyle.
NAYS: None
The Special Meeting recessed for an Executive Session
at 7:03 P.M.
The Special Meeting reconvened at 10:04 P.M.

3. ADJOURNMENT - Motion by Commissioner Price,
seconded by Commissioner Boyle that the meeting
be adjourned. Motion carried by the following
vote:
. AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux,
Price, and Boyle.
NAYS: None.
The Special Meeting of the City Commission adjourned
at 10:05 P.M.
