The purpose of this hearing is to provide citizens the opportunity to comment on the use of Revenue Sharing entitlement monies, the overall budget and the relationship of entitlement monies to the overall budget. The City of La Porte must, by Charter requirement, adopt its fiscal budget by September 3D, 1983. Within thirty days there- after, copies of the adopted budget will be available for public inspection and copying at the office of the City Manager, City :-call, 604 West Fairmont Parkway, and the Edith Wilson Public Library, 526 San Jacinto Street, during normal business hours. A copy of the agendas for said meetings is attached hereto. I hereby certify that I posted this notice on the bulletin board located at a place convenient to the public in the City Hall of the City of La Porte, at 5:00 P.M. on the 2nd day of September, 1983, and that such notice was posted for at least the three days preceding the day of the meeting, that such notice was posted before the meeting was convened, or called to order, and that said meeting was called because of an emer- gency of urgent public necessity.
