MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL CALLED MEETING
LA PORTE CITY COUNCIL
FEBRUARY 5, 1990
1. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Malone at 6:00 P.M.
Members of City Council Present: Mayor Norman Malone,
Councilpersons Betty Waters, Mike Cooper, Ed Matuszak, Bob
McLaughlin, Alton Porter, B. Don Skelton, Jerry Clarke
Members of City Council Absent: Councilperson Deotis Gay
Members of City Staff Present: City Manager Bob Herrera, City
Attorney Knox Askins, City Secretary Cherie Black, Assistant
City Manager John Joerns, Assistant to the City Manager Janie
Bais, Director of Parks and Recreation Stan Sherwood, Director
of Community Development Joel Albrecht
2. Council adjourned into executive session at 6:01 P.M. to
address the following item: V.A.T.S. - Article 6252-17,
Section 2(F) - Land Acquisition, to receive a report from the
City Manager regarding acquisition of land. Council returned
to the Council table at 7:27 P.M.
3. There being no action taken on the executive session item and
no further business to come before the Council, the meeting
was duly adjourned at 7:28 P.M.
