Bid requests were mailed to thirteen suppliers with five returning bids. Although Mid-Ohio Markings did not bid all items (two items in Section I and four items in Section II -a), the price variances would indicate that the City would benefit from awarding all of Section I and Section II - a, to Mid-Ohio. Low bid on Section II - b is Vulcan Signs. The items not bid by Mid-Ohio can be bought from Vulcan. Using yearly estimates, total cost of sign materials would be $33,487.47. Please submit your recommendation with an agenda request form by the prescribed time before the next regular council meeting. If there is a need to delay bringing this bid before council, please notify me.
