CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Mayor Norman Malone at 6:00 p.m. Members of City Council Present: Councilpersons Michael Mosteit, Chuck Engelken (arrived at 7:20 p.m.), James Warren, Barry Beasley, Charlie Young, Peter Griffiths and Norman Malone Members of Council Absent: Howard Ebow and Bruce Meismer Members of City Executive Staff and City Employees Present: Police Chief Richard Reff, City Secretary Martha Gillett, Acting City Manager John Joerns, Planning Director Doug Kneupper, Emergency Services Director Joe Sease, Public Works Director Steve Gillett, Parks and Recreation Director Stephen Barr, Assistant Finance Director Michael Dolby, Assistant Public Works Director Buddy Jacobs, Director of Administrative Services Carol Buttler, Director of Finance Cynthia Alexander, Fire Marshal Paul Hickenbottom, Budget/Investment Officer Shelley Wolny and Assistant Fire Chief Champ Dunham Others Present: None 2. Mayor Malone delivered the invocation. 3. Petions, Remonstrances, Communications, and Citizens and Tax Payers wishing to address Council. There were no citizens wishing to address Council. 4. Workshop was called to order by Mayor Norman Malone at 6:00 p.m. The following budget items were discussed: General Overview Computer Replacement Fund Employee Health Service Fund Motor Pool Fund Public Works (General Fund & Utility Fund Expense) Administration City Secretary City Council Planning Parks and Recreation Administrative Services Finance Police Emergency Services Budget Workshop Minutes~9-02 -Page 2 • Fire Prevention La Porte Area Water Authority La Porte Municipal Airport 5.
