MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL CALLED CITY MANAGER SELECTION PROCESS COMMITTEE
SEPTEMBER 26, 2006
1. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Alton Porter at 5:41 p.m.
Members Present: Mayor Alton Porter, Council members Tommy Moser, Howard Ebow and
Chuck Engelken
Members Absent: None
Staff Present: City Secretary Martha Gillett
2. The September 26, minutes were approved.
Motion was made by Council member Moser to approve the minutes as presented. Second by
Council member Engelken. Motion carried.
Ayes: Mayor Porter, Chuck Engelken and Tommy Moser
Nays: None
Abstain: Ebow
3. DISCUSS RECRUITMENT PROCESS AND TIME TABLE FOR SELECTION OF A CITY
MANAGER
The committee requested the City Secretary send letters of acknowledgement to each candidate as
their resume is received.
The committee agreed to meet again on Tuesday, October 3rd at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council
Conference Room.
4. REVIEW RESUMES RECEIVED TO DATE FOR THE CITY MANAGER POSITION

The committee reviewed the resumes received to date. The committee wanted to offer the entire
City Council have an opportunity to review the resumes and provide the committee with input if
those so desired.
The committee agreed there will be no interviews until after October 31, 2006.
5. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 6:25 p.m.

however, no action will be taken.
