P. Pfeiffer, T. E. Brown and Knox Askins. Members of the Board absent: A. C. Merchant. 1. Mr. Anderson reported that he had reviewed Mr. Jay Traylors tests and grading of the tests. The full board received all of the four test papers, George Gambreii, S. P. Robertson,H.W.Burns and C.E.Brown. 2. Motion was made by T. E. Brown, seconded by Knox Askins, that master licenses be granted to Mr. George Gambreil, with a grade of 73, and Mr. S.P.Robertson, with a grade of 78. Mr. H. W. Burns and Mr. C~E.Brown failed to pass the examination. .I'liere being no further business at hand the meeting was adjourned. s/ Knox Aski»~,Secretary MINUTES OF THE ELECTRICAL BOARD, CITY OF LA PORTS DECEMBER 29, 1969 MEMBERS OF THE BOARD PRESENT: H.P.Pfeiffer, T. E. Brown, A. C. Merchant and Knox Askins. MEMBERS OF THE BOARD ABSENT: Ralph Anderson 1. Four persons took the examination graded by Mr. Jay Traylor. Fo-wit. C.E. Brown George Wright James H. Moore Harry W. Burns Grades: 80 & 69 Failed 70 & 80 Passed 34 & 14 Failed 90 & 56 Failed However, Mr. Traylor recommended that C. E. Brown be passed. Motion was made by A. C. Merchant, seconded by K»ox Askins, that C E. Brown and George Wright be issued master License's. Mr. T.'E. Brown abstained from voting, motion carried with the following vote: AYES: Pfeiffer Merchant and Askins. NYES: None. THERE BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS AT HAND, THE MEETING WAS SOJOURNED. s/ Knox Askins SECRETARY MINUTES Of The ELECTRICAL BOARD, CITY OF LA PORTE April 30, 1970 4:30 P.M. MEMBERS OF THE BOARD PRESENT: M. T. Johnson, H. P. Pfeiffer, omas, erc ant, and Knox Askins. MEMBERS OF THE BOARD ABSENT: None. 1. Minutes of the previous meeting of December 29, 1969, were approved. 2. It was ascertained that notice of the meeting had been properly posted. 3. Judge George H. Counts, Sr. administered the oath of office to~all members of the Board. 4. Mr. Pfeiffer was elected Chairman of the Board and Mr. Johnson was elected Secretary. 5. Discussion was held on the examination procedure. Motion and seconded that Jay Traylor be asked to prepare an examination for the next test and a second one for future use. Motion carried. MEMBERS OF THE BOARD PRESENT: H. P. Pfeiffer, E. A. Thomas, A. C. Merchant and Knox Askins. MEMBERS OF THE BOARD ABSENT: None. + + + 1, Chairman Pfeiffer stated that board member M. T. Johnson had been transferred from the area and suggested that Walter D. Gernand, Houston Lighting and Power Company's area Engineer be recommended to serve on the Board. + + + 2. Mr. Pfeiffer reported that three men had taken the test for master license's on .March 10, 1971 and the test had been graded by Mr. Jay Traylor. The results were: Max Wade------Grade of 70-passed F. J. Pruett--Grade of 84-passed J. H. Moore --Grade of 59-failed The Board received all three of the test papers for review. Motion by Thomas, seconded by Merchant that master license's be granted to Max Wade and F. J. Pruett. Motion carried. + + + 3. Discussion was held on the use of aluminum wiring. Mr. Pfeiffer was authorized to advise Soar Corporation that Section 37 of the City of La Porte Electrical Code requires all underground primaries and secondaries to be installed in rigid metal conduit or non-metallic ducts or conduit. U.
