training that will be more specific to the Fire Code Review Board.

Board training.
Paul Hickenbottom and Lynn Green expressed that the training did not specifically pertain to the Fire

4. REVIEW INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE
Interim Fire Marshal Philip Creamer informed the FCRB about his memo to Wayne Sabo asking for
guidance. He reported that Mr. Sabo and Mrs. Feazelle requested he draft a memo for Mrs.
Feazelle's signature to City Council asking for guidance and comments for the Fire Code Review
Board.
Philip Creamer read the rough draft of the memo. He will inform Board Members of the outcome of
the memo.
The FCRB decided to go ahead and review the first three chapters of the International Fire Code.
Paul Hickenbottom led the discussion. There are several sections that the Fire Marshal will have to
review because they pertain specifically to him. Some of the Appendixes will need to be forwarded to
the Fire Dept and to Public Works for review.
The sections discussed were mainly sections that the North Central Texas group had addressed.
The proposed amendments were looked at and discussed to see if they pertained to La Porte.
Philip Creamer is to make a list and track the proposed changes; these changes shall be typed and
distributed at each meeting for review by the Board Members.
The Board decided to review the next three to four chapters at the next meeting.
