LA PORTE AREA WATER AUTHORITY BOARD
September 20, 1982
PRESENT: Susan Gilliland, Al Fields, Jerry Bramlett, Travis Doughty, Dave
Anderson, Jack Owen, City Manager, Jerry Hodge, Director of Public
Works, John Armstrong, City Attorney, Linda Wilson
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 P.M. by Susan Gilliland, Secretary.
The first item on the agenda was the approval of August, 1982 minutes. A
motion to accept the minutes as printed was made by Al Fields, seconded by
Travis Doughty, with the vote being unanimous.
The next item on the agenda was the acceptance of the Request for Proposal's.
Mr. Owen distributed the following seven (7) proposals to the Board for their
review:
Henningson, Durham & Richardson
R. Wayne Smith & Espey, Huston & Assoc. (Joint Venture)
Freese & Nichols, Inc.
Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam
Black & Veatch & Binkley & Holmes (Joint Venture)
Turner, Collie & Braden, Inc.
Bovay Engineering
The Board agreed to meet again on Monday, October 11, 1982 at 6:30 P.M. to go
over the proposals. It was decided this meeting would be an Executive Session
to discuss these proposals. The motion to accept this was made by Al Fields,
seconded by Travis Doughty, with the vote being unanimous.
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 7:00 P.M.
