RIGBY Mayor BILL BENTLEY Councilperson District 3 The New City Hall Ad Hoc Committee of the City of La Porte met on Thursday, October 17, 2023, at the La Porte Police Department Training Room, located at 3001 N. 23rd Street, La Porte, Texas 77571, at 3:00 p.m. to consider the following items of business: Committee Members present: Louis Rigby, Bill Bentley, Brent McCaulley Committee Members attending remotely: None ommittee Members absent: None Council -appointed officers present: Matt Daeumer, Assistant City Manager; Sharon Harris, Deputy City Secretary CALL TO ORDER — Chair McCaulley called the meetinq to order at 3.02 p.m. 2. CITIZEN COMMENT (Generally limited to five minutes per person, in accordance with state law, the time maybe reduced if there is a high number of speakers or other considerations.) There were no citizen comments. 3. STATUTORY AGENDA a. Presentation, discussion, and possible action to approve the minutes of the July 13, 2023, meeting. [Councilperson McCaulley] Member Bentley moved to approve the minutes of the July 13, 2023, meeting- the motion was seconded by Member Rigby; the motion was adopted, 3-0. b. Presentation, discussion, and possible action to provide feedback to BRW regarding the preliminary design/plans for the new City Hall. [Matt Daeumer, Assistant City Manager] BRW provided an update on the design/plans for the new City Hall and discussed additional parking spaces added, relocation of the time capsule at the new City Hall, secured access throughout the building and options for entry to the plaza. 4.
