J. H. Smith and William R. Shedelbower.
MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ABSENT: William S. Love, Jr.

1. ADMINISTER OATH OF OFFICE TO NEW MEMBERS - The Oath of Office
was administered to Mr. Walter Roberson in the City Clerk's
office prior to the meeting.
The City Clerk administered the Oath of Office to
Mr. J. H. Smith and Mr. Wm. R. Shedelbower.
2. HOUSE TO BE MOVED INTO LA PORTE - Motion by Lois Compton,
seconded by Jim Smith to approve the application for
house moving permit from Mr. James F. Ball, 4131 Coleridge,
Houston, Texas, Receipt No. 21365. The house will be moved
from Houston to 311 South Blackwell. Motion carried by
the following vote:
AYES: Lois Compton, J. H. Smith, and Wm. Shedelbower.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Wm. S. Love.
3. REQUEST - MATT HALL BENTON - 8.9957 ACRES OUT OF ENOCH

REZONED COMMERCIAL - Motion by Jim Smith and seconded by
Lois Compton to recommend to the City Commission to rezone
the back one-half of this tract to commercial from residential
making the total tract commercial. Motion carried by the
following vote:
AYES: Lois Compton, J. H. Smith, and Wm. Shedelbower.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Wm. S. Love.

4. REQUEST - ELMER D. BARKER AND BERNICE BARKER GALE -
22.67 ACRES DESCRIBED AS TRACT 20, ABSTRACT 5 - E. BRINSON
SURVEY, CITY OF LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS - REZONED
COMMERCIAL FROM RESIDENTIAL - Motion by Lois Compton and
seconded by Wm. Shedelbower to recommend to the City Commission
to rezone this tract from residential to commercial for ware-
house purposes. Motion carried by the following vote:
AYES: Lois Compton, J. H. Smith, and Wm. Shedelbower.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Wm. S. Love.
5. REQUEST - FRANK F. BOYLE, JR. - TO RECLASSIFY LOTS NO. 9
THRU 11, BLOCK NO. 72, TOWN OF LA PORTE - FROM RESIDENTIAL
TO COMMERCIAL - Motion by Lois Compton and seconded by
Jim Smith to recommend to the City Commission to rezone Lots
9, 10, and 11, Block 72, Town of La Porte, from residential
to commercial. Motion carried by the following vote:
AYES: Lois Compton, J. H. Smith, and Wm. Shedelbower.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Wm. S. Love.
6. REQUEST - DALE PORTER - TO REZONE LOTS 1 THRU 16, BLOCK 1146 -
FROM RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL - Motion by Jim Smith and
seconde y Lois Compton to recommend to the City Commission
to rezone Lots 1 thru 16, Block 1146, from residential to
commercial. Motion carried by the following vote:
AYES: Lois Compton, J. H. Smith, and Wm. Shedelbower.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Wm. S. Love.
7. ADJOURNMENT - Motion by Lois Compton, seconded by Jim Smith
that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried by the following vote:
AYES: Lois Compton, J. H. Smith, and Wm. Shedelbower.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: VJm. S. Love.
The meeting adjourned at 8:20 PM.
