Shedelbower, Charles Christensen, Kerry Beverly, J. C. Hebert, and Eugene Ybarra. MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ABSENT: None. OTHERS PRESENT: Carlos Smith representing the developers of Fairmont Park West, Section II. Jeff Harris representing the Fairmont Park Home Owners Association. PRESID:I'NG: Charles Christensen, Chairman. + + + I. CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was called to order by Chairman Charles Christensen at 7:07 P.M. + + + 2. CONSIDER PRELIMINARY PLAT OF FAIRMONT PARK WEST, SECTION II Carlos Smith was present to explain and answer questions. The. Commission made several suggestions as to changes in the plat. Carlos Smith agreed to discuss these changes with his client. Wider streets on the main thoroughfare and an esplanade for the main entrance off Underwood Road. Wm. R. Shedelbower made the motion to accept the preliminary plat for Fairmont Park West, Section II with the incorporated changes suggest by the Commiss- ion. Seconded by J. C. Hebert. Kerry Beverly voted no, all other members voted yes. Kerry Beverly stated he would like to see a more imaginative plat submitted to the Commission. 3. CONSIDER present. Seconded J. C. He ® to grant REQUEST OF M. B. LEE FOR VARIANCE - M. B. Lee was not Kerry Beverly made the motion to deny the variance. by Eugene Ybarra. The vote passed in favor of denial. bert abstained, stating it was not commission business a variance. 4. ANY OTHER BUSINESS THAT MAY COME BEFORE THE COMMISSION - J.. C. Hebert initiated a discussion about the duties and responsibilities of the Commission. An up to date map of. the City with the latest zoning shown, for the Commission to work with was discussed. Charles Christensen said he would inquire as to up-dating the City map and obtaining copies for the Commission. Mr. Jeff Harris addressed the Commission in regard to a green belt on the South side of Fairmont Parkway, a buffer zone for the industrial area, the Exxon complex. Charles Christensen agreed to contact Knox Askins as to the poss- ibilities for establishing a green beltrand how the Comm- ission may move on this project. 5.
