ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS. 9. ADJOURNMENT. • • AGENDA COMMENTS CONSIDER VARIANCE REQUEST FOR SIDE LOT BUILDING LINE - CREEKMONT SUBDIVISION - H. CARLOS SMITH - Attached for consideration is a building line along the side of Subdivision, Section 1. It was have been 10 feet. request for a variance in the Lot 9, Block 8, Creekmont platted as 25 feet, and should CONSIDER APPROVAL OF FINAL PLATS - FAIRMONT PARK [n1EST SECTION 5 AND SECTION 6 - H. CARLOS SMITH - Plats of Fairmont Park, West, Section 5 and Section 6, which was the original Section 5 will be available for review at the meeting. The request is being made due to a rejection by the F.H.A. of the original Section 5 because more than lOg of the total number of lots were within 300 feet of the sewage treat- ment plant. Upon their advice, Section 5 was separated into two sections. No dimensional changes have been made. All improvements have been completed and accepted by the City. CONSIDER REQUEST TO REZONE LOTS 17 THRU 32, BLOCK 753, TOWN OF LA PORTE FROM RESIDENTIAL TO COM.NIERCIAL - ROBERT SAUNDERS - Attached for consideration is a request to rezone Lots 17 thru 32, Block 753, Town of La Porte from Residential to Commercial. A representative will be present to discuss the request. CONSIDER APPROVIDIG PRELIMINARY PLAT - GLEN MEADOWS, SECTION 4 - This will be reviewed by the appropriate departments. You may wish to approve pending approval of those departments. CONSIDER REQUEST FOR VARIANCE FOR BUILDING SET BACK LINE FOR A CAR PORT - 514 S. IOWA - WALTER GRODA - Attached for consideration is a memo from Code Enforcement stating the request for a variance of 12 feet. It appears that the variance may be for 14 feet. DISCUSS A & M STUDY REGARDING REVISIONS TO THE PLANNING & ZONING ORDINANCE. - ____ Mrs. Muston requested that this item be placed on the agenda so that the P & Z Commission might start their review of the study. Box 1115 La Porte, Texas 77571 ATTN: Mr. Jim Hudgins City Manager Dear Mr. Hudgins: We are handing you herewith original plats of Fairmont Park, West- Section 5 and Fairmont Park, West-Section 6. These plats are the total of the original Section 5. F.H.A. rejected the original Section 5, as more than 10~ of the total number of lots were within 300 feet of the sewage treatment plant. Upon their advise the Original Section 5 was separated into two sections with Section 5 removing the lots F.H.A. objected to and Section 6 con- taining these lots. Section 6 will not be submitted to F.H.A. for their approval, but the homes will be built with conventional or V.A. loans. There were no dimensional changes made in any of the lots or streets, simply a separation of the lots and streets as originally submitted. Please submitt these plats to Planning and Zoning, and to the City Council for their signatures. All improvements have been completed and accepted in these two sections by the owner and the City. The lot faces Canyon Springs Drive and inadvertently in platting this lot the side building line was shown as 25 feet. This should have been shown as a 10 foot building line along Briar Creek Drive. we would request that this side building lot line be changed by a variance to 10 feet. He desires to construct a car port in front of his home, located at 514 South Iowa. The car port would be 20' long and be built in front of the attached garage that sits 6' back of t'~e front of the building, leaving 12' extending into the front yard. The front of the building is 41' from the curb, which would place the front of the car port 29' from the curb and not extending into the required front yard more than approximately 6'.
