(RECONVENING OF ADJOURNED MEETING OF AUGUST 25, 1988)

Members. Present: Janet Graves, Chairperson, Charlie Boyle, Bobby
Blackwell, Lola Phillips, Eugene Edmonds, Inge Browder, Jack Gresham
Members Absent: None

Ervin Griffith, Building Official, Nina Browning, Community
Development/Engineering Secretary
Others Present: J. P. Jackson, Carl Ferguson
• 1. Chairperson Janet Graves called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
Joel Albrecht explained to.__the ..Commission the reason for this
"Special Called" meeting. There was an oversight in the posting
of the notice for the meeting, even though the notice for each
Public Hearing was posted, the agenda was not, and by law it must
also__be .posted..--_ -Therefore we are having to take action on the
public ..input :anal. the staff recommendation received by the
Commission on August 25, 1988 and make a recommendation to the
City Council ~~~onr•each item.
2. Consider recommendation to City Council regarding amending Section
10-1000, Commercial Use Table "B° of Ordinance 1501, regarding
maximum sign height.
Based on the information provided by public input and staff
recommendation to the Commission on August 25, 1988, a motion was
made by Charlie Boyle and seconded by Eugene Edmonds to recommend
favorably to the City Council on the proposed amendment to Section
10-1000 of the Zoning Ordinance. The vote was 6 ayes, 1 abstain.

3. Consider recommendation to City Council regarding rezoning request
88-003.
Based on the information provided by public input and staff
recommendation to the Commission on August 25, 1988, a motion was
made by Inge Browder and seconded by Lola Phillips to recommend
favorably to City Council a request 88-003 to change the zoning
from R-3 High Density Residential to "NC" Neighborhood Commercial.
The vote was unanimous. rlotion carried.
4. Consider recommendation to City Council regarding Special
Conditional Use Permit application 88-011.
Based on the information provided by public input and staff
recommendation~to the.Commission:on August 25,:1988, a motion .was
made by Eugene Edmonds and seconded by Inge Browder to recommend
favorable to City Council on request 88-011, for a Special
Conditional Use Permit for a recreational vehicle and boat storage
facility with the five recommended conditions stipulated. The
vote..was.unanimous._.Motion carried.
5. A motion was made by Charlie Boyle and seconded by Jack Gresham to
adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 7:10 P.M.
