Fairmont Parkway Phone: (281) 471-5020 Planning and Development La Porte, TX 77571-6215 Fax: (281) 470-5005 www.laportetx.gov DECISION OF THE ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT RE: SE-2025-0005 Suset Briseno 4904 Faircrest St. Pasadena, TX 77505 SUBJECT: Decision of the Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBOA) The above-referenced request was for adoption of a special exception to allow for an enlargement of a nonconforming structure in accordance with section 106-262 of the City of La Porte Zoning Ordinance, and an exemption from extended useful life requirement of section 106-265 of the City of La Porte Zoning Ordinance to provide a schedule to eliminate nonconformity. The expansion must meet current zoning requirements, including all minimum setbacks. The special exception was approved with modifications by the City of La Porte Zoning Board of Adjustment (“Board”) on March 27, 2025, by a vote of four (4) in favor of the special exception and zero (0) against the special exception. On this date, the Board found that the request as presented by staff meets the conditions set forth in sections 106-191, 106-262, and 106-265 of the City of La Porte Zoning Ordinance. Any interested person wishing to appeal this decision is required to file a petition for Writ of Certiorari in a district court, county court or county court at law within ten (10) days of the date this decision is filed in the Board’s office in accordance with section 211.011 of the Texas Local Government Code.
