TUESDAY, AUGUST 6, 2024 – 5:00 P.M. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE CITY COUNCIL AND PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEABROOK WILL HOLD A JOINT PUB-LIC HEARING ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 6, 2024, AT 5:00 P.M. IN SEABROOK CITY HALL, 1700 FIRST STREET, SEABROOK, TEXAS, COUNCIL CHAMBERS TO DIS-CUSS THE AGENDA ITEM LISTED BELOW. BID #24011 BROOKGLEN SUBDIVISION DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 1 CITY OF LA PORTE NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The City of La Porte will receive bids for the Brookglen Subdivision Drainage Improve-ments Phase 2 until 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on Tuesday August 13, 2024, at the City Hall Information Desk, City of La Porte 604 W. Fairmont Parkway, La Porte, Texas 77571.
Proposed drainage improvements will consist of replacing the existing water line system, roadways, sidewalks, and driveways, as well as improving the storm drainage system and outfall. All sealed bids shall be submitted including one (1) marked original and one (1) marked duplicate on the original forms clearly marked with bid number and description. The bids will be opened and publicly read in the Council Chambers immediately after the closing hour for the bids on said date.
No late bids will be considered
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on July 30, 2024, at 10:00 am, at the City of La Porte City Hall, Council Chambers, located at 604 West Fairmont Pkwy, La Porte, TX 77571. Bid documents may be downloaded from www.publicpurchase.com, or may be obtained without deposit from; City of La Porte Purchasing Office, 604 West Fairmont Pkwy, La Porte, TX 77571, (281) 470-5126, purchasing@laportetx.gov. A Bid Bond, payable to City of La Porte in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum Bid price submitted, must accompany each Bid as guarantee that, if awarded the Contract, the Bidder will within fifteen (15) calendar days of award of Contract enter into a Contract and execute Bonds on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. The successful Bidder must furnish PERFORMANCE and PAYMENT BONDS on the forms furnished with the BIDDING DOCUMENTS, in the amount of 100% of the total Contract price. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas General Land Office – Com-munity Development & Revitalization and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and ap-plicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. BID WITHDRAWAL: No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after the opening of the Bids without the consent of OWNER. All contractors/subcontractors System for Award Management (SAM.gov) registration is not active or that are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project. The City reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, to waive any and all technicali-ties and to accept any bid or part thereof, which in the opinion of the city council, is most advantageous to the city. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating the prices in the bid, the city reserves the right to consider the most advantageous bid thereof or to reject the bid.
