ANIMAL SHELTER ADVISORY MINUTES
A regular meeting was held on December 1, 2025, and called to order at 5:00 p.m., at the La Porte Police Department, 3001 North 23rd Street in La Porte, Texas. Members in attendance
were Animal Control Supervisor Mitchell Turner-Beasley, and Committee Members Brandon Lunsford, Chief of Police Scott Pullig, Dr. Charmel Rodic, DVM. La Porte Police Support Services
Lt. Matt Novosad.
Meeting Called to Order at 5:00pm.
Approval of the minutes from April 22, 2025. Motion was made by Scott Pullig, seconded by Charmel Rodick to approve the minutes from April 22, 2025.Motion was approved.
Update on the Animal Shelter Donation Account: Animal Control Supervisor Mitch Turner-Beasley updated the committee of the statues of the Donation Account.
Mitch Turner-Beasley went over the statistical reports of the division.
Mitch Turner-Beasley went over the volunteer program.
Items that were approved
Being able to purchase the general volunteer shirts through the donation account after volunteers' pre-purchase.
Being able to purchase the “100 Hour” volunteer shirts through donation account money.
$500 yearly for the Top 10 Volunteers gifts
$500 yearly for Volunteer Appreciation Week gifts
Committee Comments. Consideration for 501c3 “Friends of La Porte Adoption Center”
Adjournment: Motion was made by Clarence Anderson and seconded by Donna Medford, to adjourn. Motion was approved
