The City of La Porte Wrecker Committee met Monday, December 22, 2025, at 8:00 a.m., in the City Hall Council Chamber, 604 West Fairmont Parkway, La Porte, Texas. Committee Members Present: Ryan Hvitløk, Director of Planning and Development
Department, City Manager’s Designee; Lee Woodward, City Secretary; Lt. Marcus Upchurch, LPPD Police Chief’s Designee Staff Members Present: Clark Askins, City Attorney
Member Woodward called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m. 1. Consider the approval of May 6, 2024, meeting minutes. – The minutes of the May 6, 2024, meeting were approved as provided.
2. Citizen Comment – There were no comments.
3. Presentation, discussion, and possible action to consider a recommendation to the La Porte City Council to authorize a change to tow rates within the city limits of La Porte, Texas, pursuant to a request submitted by Joe Davis of Priority Towing, Inc.
Joe Davis of Priority Towing, Inc. spoke in support of an increase and provided information in answer to questions from the Committee. Member Upchurch noted the City’s need for the service at a fair rate that is attractive to vendors to provide.
Without objection, the Committee agreed to seek additional information and verify the current
area rates and then meet again. 4. Committee Comments – There were no comments.
Without objection, the meeting was adjourned at 8:42 a.m.
