FISCAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE

Council -appointed Officers Present: Corby Alexander, City Manager; Lee Woodward,
City Secretary
The Fiscal Affairs Committee of the City of La Porte met on November 10, 2025,
at the City Hall Council Chambers, 604 West Fairmont Parkway,
La Porte, Texas, at 4:30 p.m.
1. CALL TO ORDER - Chair Engelken called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.
2. CITIZEN COMMENT - There were no comments.
3. STATUTORY AGENDA
a. Presentation, discussion, and possible action to approve the minutes of the
July 28, 2025, meeting. [Lee Woodward, City Secretary/PIO]
Member Martin moved to approve the minutes of the July 28, 2025, meeting; the
motion was seconded by Member Lunsford; the motion was unanimously adopted.
b. Fourth Quarter (FY2025) Investment Report - Presentation, discussion, and
possible action to receive and review the Fourth Quarter FY2025 Investment
Report. [Shelley Wolny, Asst. Finance Director]
Mrs. Wolny presented the report.
c. Presentation, discussion, and possible action to receive and review the City
of La Porte's Investment Policy. [Shelley Wolny, Asst. Finance Director]
Mrs. Wolny presented the City of La Porte's Investment Policy and said no changes
were being recommended.
d. Quarterly P- Card Report - Presentation, discussion and possible action to
receive and review June -August 2025 Procurement Card Reports. [Cherell
Daeumer, Purchasing Manager]
Mrs. Daeumerconfirmed there were no items of concern and the Committee asked
to continue receiving the report.
4. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS - There were no reports.
5. SET DATE FOR NEXT MEETING - Without objection, the next meeting was set for
January 26, 2026.
6. COMMITTEE MEMBER COMMENTS
Committee members thanked the Finance team for their work.
