CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA

Notice is hereby given of a spacial maating of the La Porter City Council to ba held on May 13, 2026,
at 1 p.m- in tha City Hall Council Chamber, 604 West Fairmont Parkway, La Porter, Taxes, for the
purpose of considering the following agenda items. All agenda items are subject to action.
1_ Call to Omar
The Mayor will determine that a quorum of Counci/persons is present and open the business
meeting_
2_ Invocation and Pledges of Alleglanca
U-S. Flag
Texas Flag_ Honor the Texas Flag. I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state, under
God, one and indivisible_
3_ Cltizan Comment
State law provides that members of the pub/ic may speak before the Counci/ considers an
item of business. Comp/ete a sign up sheet before speaking_ (General/y limited to five
minutes per person,- the time may be reduced if there is a high number of speakers or for
other considerations_) Members of the Counci/ may ask questions or make statements of
fact in response to comments but are not obligated to respond and will not participate in
debate or take action during this portion of the agenda_ /terns may be requested for future
agendas in accordance with the adopted Rules of Procedure_
4_ Election Matters
4_a Canvass the results of the May 2, 2026, general and spacial affections
Presentation, discussion, and possible action to adopt Ordinance 2026-5038
canvassing the returns of the May 2, 2026, City Of La Porte, Texas, general and

5_ Items of Community Interest
Per Texas Gov't_ Code Sec_ 559.0495, the Council may receive from staff and/or may make
a report about items of community interest during a meeting without having given notice of
the subject of the report, if no action is taken and, except as provided by Section 559.042,
possib/e action is not discussed regarding the information provided in the report_ Hear
announcements concerning matters appearing on the agenda,- items of community interest;
and/or inquiries of staff regarding specific factual information or existing po/icy from the
$
Mayor, Councilpersons, and City staff, for which no formal action will be discussed.
6. Adjourn
Persons with disabilities who plan to attend this meeting and who may need auxiliary aids or
services are requested to contact the City Secretary's Office (281-470-5021), three working
days prior to the meeting for appropriate arrangements.
Pursuant to Texas Government Code Sec. 551.127, on a regular, non-emergency basis,
members may attend and participate in the meeting remotely by video conference. Should
that occur, a quorum of the members will be physically present at the location noted above
on this agenda.

I, Lee Woodward, City Secretary, do hereby certify that a copy of the May 13, 2026, City
Council special meeting agenda was posted on the City Hall bulletin board, a place
convenient and readily accessible to the general public at all times, and to the City's website,
