Members Present: Chuck Engelken, Brandon Lunsford, Rick Helton (alternate; arrived
at 5:21 p.m.)
Members Attending Remotely: None
Members Absent: Jay Martin
Council -appointed Officers Present: Corby Alexander, City Manager; Lee Woodward,
City Secretary
The Fiscal Affairs Committee of the City of La Porte met on April 27, 2026,
at the City Hall Council Chambers,
604 West Fairmont Parkway, La Porte, Texas, at 5:15 p.m.
1. CALL TO ORDER - Chair Engelken called the meeting to order at 5:17 p.m.
2. CITIZEN COMMENT - There were no comments.
3. STATUTORY AGENDA
a. Approval of minutes of the March 23, 2026, meeting. [Lee Woodward, City
Secreta ry/P IO]
Member Lunsford moved to approve the minutes of the March 23, 2026, meeting;
the motion was seconded by Member Engelken; the motion was adopted, 2-0.
b. Second Quarter (FY2026) Investment Report - Presentation, discussion, and
possible action to receive and review the Second Quarter FY2026 Investment
Report. [Shelley Wolny, Asst. Finance Director]
Mrs. Wolny presented the report.
c. Quarterly P-Card Report - Presentation, discussion and possible action to
receive and review December 2025 and Jan -Feb 2026 Procurement Card
Reports. [Cherell Daeumer, Purchasing Manager]
Mrs. Daeumer provided the report. Member Helton arrived at 5:21 p.m.
4. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS - There were no reports.
5. SET DATE FOR NEXT MEETING - Without objection, the next meeting was set for
July 27, 2026.
6. COMMITTEE MEMBER COMMENTS
Committee members thanked the Finance team for their work.
Without objection, Chair Engelken adjourned the meeting at 5:23 p.m.
