WHEREAS, the City of La Porte has applied for or wishes to apply to the Office of the
Attorney General, (OAG) Crime Victim Services Division for the Victim Coordinator
and Liaison Grant (VCLG); the application will be filed under the Legal Name of
Applicant: City of La Porte� Unique Application Number: V0011-14-0016; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Porte has considered and supports the
Application filed or to be tiled with the Office of the Attorney General; and
WIIEREAS, the City of La Porte has designated or wishes to designate Corby
Alexander, City Manager, as the `-Authorized Official" who is given or has been given
the power to apply for, accept, reject, alter or terminate the Victim Coordinator and
Liaison Grant (VCLG) with the Office of the Attorney General (OAG), Crime Victim
Services Division as well as given the authority to sign all grant adjustment requests,
inventory reports, progress reports, and financial reports or any other official documents
related to the grant on behalf of the grantee;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of La Porte City Council
approves submission of the application for the Victim Coordinator and Liaison Grant to
the Office of the Attorney General, Crime Victim Services Division as well as the
designation of the Authorized Official.
