Notice is hereby given that a kick-off meeting for the Northside Neighborhood Plan Update will
be conducted at 6:00 P.M. on the 10th
day of November 2011, in the Jennie Riley Community
Center, 322 North 4th Street, La Porte, Texas.
The purpose of the meeting is to receive public input and share ideas how to improve the
Northside community. The City of La Porte has a vested interest in the continued growth and
enrichment of the Northside Neighborhood. In 2000, the City published the Northside
Neighborhood Plan which highlighted a number of issues in the community and resulted in
proactive solutions such as the increased presence of law enforcement, the construction of
affordable housing options and the removal of unwanted dangerous buildings. Now, 10 years
later, it is time to update this plan, and City is asking for citizens input on the plan update.

A quorum of City Council members may be present and participate in discussions during this meeting;
however, no action will be taken by Council.
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the City of La Porte will provide for reasonable
accommodations for persons attending public meetings. To better serve attendees, requests should be
