utilities and pipelines prior to working in the area.
2. All underground utilities shown are not guaranteed to be complete
or definite but were obtained from the best information available.
3. Contractor shall notify all utility and pipeline companies a
minimum of 48 hours prior to commencing construction. Contractor
shall be responsible for all coordination and staking of existing
utilities with no extra pay.
4. Contractor shall provide satisfactory supports for buried
utilities, pipelines, and other facilities which will be exposed
during construction.
5. Contractor shall establish existing grades and dimensions of roads,
ditches, culverts, driveways, etc. before their removal for use in
their subsequent restoration.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Excavate for manhole in normal manner.
2. Make cut -nut, keep as close to size as possible. A saw with carbide grit. carbide tip or masonry blade is
recommended for making cut-out. Make sure cut so as a minimum of 4" of utanhole will embed into concrete base. I" PIPE FA
3. Set depth of manhole so that a minimum of one concrete ring can be installed for adjustment of cover to final grade. ( WELDED)
4. Minimum concrete stab base required. (6'x6 x6' deep) -
5. Recommended handling procedure: Insert a WxWOO" timber into top of manhole with cable attached. Lift as
required.
6. Place manhole in position. The depth of the manhole in the concrete is to be 3" min. and a min. of 2" of concrete
beneath manhole.
7. Level manhole.
8. Seat by working concrete around base and cut-outs.
9. Back fill: Allow base to set and proceed to back fill as soon as possible. Back fill to be added in 12" lifts to avoid
excessive pressures.
