AT ALL TIMES DURING CONSTRUCTION, PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN ALL NECESSARY
SIGNS, FLASHERS, BARRICADES AND FLAGMEN AS PER TEXAS STATE
DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IN CONFORMANCE
WITH PART VI OF THE "TEXAS MANUAL ON UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL

5. ALL WORK SHALL BE CONDUCTED WITHIN THE RIGHT-OF-WAY AND/OR
EASEMENTS SHOWN UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED BY THE OWNER AND/OR
ENGINEER.
6. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR STAKING AND LAYOUT OF THE WORK IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE PLANS. ENGINEER WILL PROVIDE CONTROL POINTS
AND COORDINATES FOR CONTRACTOR TO ESTABLISH BASE LINE(S) PER PLANS.
7. EXISTING PROPERTY CORNERS ARE NOT TO BE DISTURBED. THOSE REMOVED
OR DISTURBED DURING CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE RESET BY REGISTERED
SURVEYOR AT NO COST TO OWNER.
S. CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE CARE WHEN WORKING IN PROPOSED EASEMENTS. ALL,
SHRUBBERY, FENCE, CONCRETE STRUCTURE, ETC. SHALL BE PROTECTED, OR UPON
WRITTEN APPROVAL OF OWNER, REMOVED, STORED PROPERLY, AND REPLANTED OR
RECONSTRUCTED AFTER COMPLETION OF WORK. ALL DAMAGED PLANTS, TREES,
STRUCTURES SHALL BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED WITH EQUAL OR BETTER ITEM. COST
SHALL BE INCIDENTAL.
9. NO EXCAVATION AREA SHALL BE LEFT OPEN DURING NON -WORKING HOURS. ALL
EXCAVATION OVER 2 FEET IN DEPTH SHALL BE PROTECTED BY BRIGHT ORANGE
SAFETY FENCING AND PROPERLY COVERED.
10. EXCESS EXCAVATED MATERIAL SHALL BE DISPOSED OF PROMPTLY.
11. WORKING AREAS SHALL BE ONLY THOSE AREAS DESIGNATED BY OWNER, ANY ACTIVITY
BEYOND THESE PREMISES IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. INGRESS AND EGRESS OF MEN AND
EQUIPMENT SHALL BE THROUGH APPROVED EASEMENTS ONLY.
12. WORK ON ITEMS NOT SPECIFICALLY CALLED OUT IN BID DOCUMENT SHALL BE
INCIDENTAL TO OVERALL PROJECT COST.
13. ANY DRIVE OR ROADWAY DAMAGED DURING CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE REPAIRED PER
DETAIL IN PLANS AND SHALL BE INCIDENTAL TO LUMP SUM PRICE OF LIFT STAION
REHABILITATION.
14. AT SANITARY SEWER -WATERLINE CROSSINGS WHERE VERTICAL CLEARANCE IS LESS
THAN 9 FEET, THE SEWER LINE SHALL BE BACKFILLED WITH CEMENT STABILIZED SAND
(1.5 SACKS PER TON OF SAND) WITHIN 9' HORIZONTAL DISTANCE OF WATERLINE, AND
TO A DEPTH 12" OR ONE PIPE DIAMETER (WHICHEVER IS GREATER) ABOVE THE
SEWER PIPE. ANY SAW CUTTING, REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF EXISTING PAVEMENT
AS SHOWN ON THE PLANS SHALL BE INCIDENTAL TO THE UNIT PRICE OF THAT ITEM.
15. CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE CITY OF LA PORTE AT (281) 471-9650 OF 24 HOURS
PRIOR TO ANY UTILITY COORDINATION REQUIRED.
16. TOP OF RIM OF SANITARY SEWER MANHOLESSHALL BE 6" MIN. ABOVE NATURAL
GROUND WITHIN EASEMENTS UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. FILL SHALL BE ADDED AND
