Section 1. IJo person, firm, company, corporation or association
shall cast, throw, shoot, fire or discharge any squib, rocket, cracker, torpedo,
grenade, gun, revolver, pistol, cap or cartridge, or any combustible fireworks
of any kind in the City of La Forte, Texas.
Section 2. No person, firm, company, corporation or association
doing business within the City of La Porte, Texas, shall exhi}ait or have in his
or its possession, with intent to give away, sell or offer for sa1c~, to whole-
salexs, retailers or ultimate consumers, any squib, rocket, cracker, torpedo,
grenade, cap or cartridge, or other combustible fireworks of any kind or nature.)
Section 3. Nothing in this ordinance shall be co:~str~!ed to apply to
the sale, storage or use of railroad track torpedoes, or other signallinn device
used by railroads, nor to the sale, storage or use of flashlight composition by
photographers or dealers in photographic supplies, or prevent any public or pri-
vate demonstration or display of fireworks of any kind, if conducted under pxope
police supervision after application made, and permit issued, by the City Commis
sion of the City of La Porte, Texas, for such demonstration. Said permit shall
not be grantee unless such demonstration or display shall be of such a character..
and so located, discharged or fixed, as in the opinion of the said City Commis-
sion of the City of La Porte, Texas, after proper inspection, shall not be
hazardous to property or er-danger any person or persons.
Section 4. A.ny person, firm, corporation, company or association
who shall violate any of the provisions of this ordinance, shall upon conviction
therefor be fined in any sum not to exceed the sum of C'ne Hundred Dollars ($100.p0).
Section 5. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict and Cxdiriance No. 3E1 is
hereby in all things expressly repealed.

'~, Section 6. Each and every provision, paragraph, sentence and clause
of this ordinance has been separately considered and passed by the City Commis-
sion of the City of La Porte, Texas, and each said provision would have been
separately passed without any other provision, and if any provision hereof shall
be ineffective, invalid or unconstitutional, for any cause, it shall not impair
or effect the remaining portions or any part thereof, but the valid portion
shall be enforced just as if it had been passed alone.
Section 7. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and publication, as provided by law.
