ORDINANCE NO. 843

AN ORDINANCE DISANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY HERETOFORE
ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF LA PORTE; CONTAINING A SAVINGS
CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE:
Section 1. The hereinafter described territory, which
is now entirely located within the corporate limits of the
City of La Porte, Texas, by prior annexation ordinances'of
the City of La Porte, is hereby disannexed from the corporate
limits of the City of La Porte, and, after the effective date
of this Ordinance, shall not constitute a part of the corporate

territory of the City of La Porte, to-wit:
BEGINNING at a point within the present corporate
limits of the City of La Porte, at the Southeast corner
of La Porte Outlot Four Hundred Eighty~two (482);
THENCE in a Westerly direction along the South
boundary line of said La Porte Outlot Four Hundred
Eighty-two (482), and continuing along the South
lines of La Porte 'Outlots Four Hundred Eighty-three
(483) through Four Hundred Ninety (490), or a
Westerly projection thereof, to a point ten feet
(10') East of the East right-of-way line of Underwood
Road, for a point for corner;
THENCE in a Northerly direction along an imaginary
line ten feet (10'), measured at right angles, East
of and parallel to the East right-Of-way line of
Underwood Road, to a point ten feet (10'), measured
at right angles, South of the South right-of-way
line of No~th "H" Street, for a point for corner;

THENCE in an Easterly direction along an imaginary
line ten feet (10'), measured at right angles,
South of and parallel to the South right-of-way line
of North "H" Street, to an intersection with the
East property line of La Porte Outlot Four Hundred
Eighty-two (482), for a point for corner;
THENCE in a Southerly direction along the East
property line of La Porte Outlot Four Hundred
Eighty-two (482), to the PLACE OF BEGINNING hereof.
Section 2. Nothing herein contained shall affect the
validity of the remaining portion of the Ordinance or
Ordinances under which the hereinabove described territory

Commission of the City of La Porte that only the above
described territory shall be disannexed from the corporate

limits of the city of La Porte, Texas.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
