ORDINANCE NO. 877 AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE ALLEY LYING WITHIN BLOCK ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY-FOUR (174) IN THE TOWN OF '. LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS. WHEREAS, the said alley in Block One Hundred Seventy-four (174) has never been opened or used as a public thoroughfare, and the public utilities now maki~g use of such alley have all given their written consent for its closing; and WHEREAS, .the City Commission of the City of La Porte has determined and does hereby find, determine and declare that the said alley is not suitable, needed, or beneficial to the public as a public alley, and should be vacated, abandoned and permanently closed: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE THAT: Section 1. The alley located in Block One Hundred Seventy-four (174) of the TOWN OF LA PORTE, Harris County, Texas, is hereby permanently vacated, abandoned and closed by the City of La Porte. Section 2. AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE REGULAR ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF LA PORTE ON APRIL 3, 1971, FOR THE ELECTION OF A CITY COMMISSIONER, POSITION 1, AND A CITY COMMISSIONER, POSITION 3. WHEREAS, there was held in the City of La Porte, on the 3rd day of April, 1971, an election for the purpose of elect- ing a City Commissioner, Position One (1), and a City Commis- sioner, Position Three (3), each to serve for a two-year term; and WHEREAS, there were cast at said election for the follow- ing listed persons the numberof votes opposite their respective ,~, '. ~;, names: City Commissioner, Position 1: . ,. 1 ~I I J~ I ~I "[,V- ~\~ I Wm.
