RESOLUTION NO. 70-08

STATE OF TEXAS I
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING P. V. WERNER, CITY ADMINSTRATOR
AND DIRECTOR OF FINANCE, TO ACT FOR AND IN BEHALF OF
THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, IN MAKING APPLICATION TO
THE TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT FOR GRANTS-IN-
AID UNDER THE OUTDOOR RECREATION PLAN.
WHEREAS, it is contemplated that the City of
La Porte, Texas, plan~ to develop a concept of ne~gh~
borhood parks; and
WHEREAS, it is found that the City is unable
to provide the total cost of such a pr~gram; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary and proper to
apply for aid in order to have sufficient funds to
implement the plan.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND
CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS
THAT
P. V. Werner, City Administrator and Director of Finance
for the City of La Porte, Texas, be and is hereby
authorized and directed to make application to the Texas
Parks and Wildlife Department for, grant funds and is
authorized to receive and disburse said funds accordi~g
to the conditions prescribed.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
