ORDINANCE NO. 9l5-U AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A PERMIT UNDER SECTION l8-A-3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 915, "PIPELINE TRANSPORTATION," BEING CHAPTER l8-A OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS: AND APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF UNION CARBIDE CORPORATION DATED JANUARY 13, 1984, TO CONSTRUCT A SIXTEEN INCH (16") OXYGEN PIPELINE AND TO CONSTRUCT A SIXTEEN INCH (16") NITROGEN PIPELINE: AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. .., BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: Section 1. The City Council of the City of La Porte has received an application dated January 13, 1984, from Union Carbide Corporation, requsting permit under Section l8-A-3 of Ordinance No_ 915, being Chapter l8-A of the Code of Ordinances of the City of La Porte, to construct a sixteen inch (16") oxygen pipeline, and to construct a sixteen inch (16") nitogen pipeline, crossing the City of La Porte, all as shown on said application_ The application of Union Carbide Corporation has been reviewed by the City's Director of Public Works, who has found that said application meets all require- ments of said Ordinance No. 915, and has recommended its approval. Section 2. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby approves the application of Union Carbide Corporation, dated January 13, 1984, and this Ordinance shall constitute a permit to Union Carbide Corporation to lay and construct said pipelines within the City of La Porte, all in conformance with the requirements of said Ordinance No. 915. Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
