<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 98-915-00 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCB GRANTING A PERMIT UNDER SBCTION 18-a-3 OF ORDINANCE <br />NO. 915, "PIPELINB TRANSPORTATION", BEING CHAPTER 18-A OF THE CODB <br />OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TBXAS, DATED NOVBXBBR 25, <br />1975, TO CONSTRUCT A 6-INCH PIPE LINB FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF <br />ETHYLENE GAS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of La Porte has <br /> <br />received an application dated October 6, 1998, from MOBIL OIL <br /> <br />CORPORATION, requesting a permit under section 18-A-3 of Ordinance <br /> <br />915, being Chapter 18-A of the Code of Ordinances of the City of La <br />Porte, to construct and operate its 6-inch pipe line for the <br /> <br />transportation of ETHYLENE, crossing the City of La Porte, all as <br /> <br />shown on said application. <br /> <br />The application of MOBIL OIL <br /> <br />CORPORATION has been reviewed by the City I s Director of Public <br /> <br />Works, who has found that said application meets all requirements <br />of said Ordinance No. 915, and has recommended its approval. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby <br /> <br />approves the application of MOBIL OIL CORPORATION, dated October 6, <br />1998, and this Ordinance shall constitute a permit to MOBIL OIL <br /> <br />CORPORATION to operate said pipe line within the City of La Porte, <br />all in conformance with the requirements of Ordinance No. 915, <br />contingent upon its filing with the City of La Porte prior to <br /> <br />commencement of construction, copies of its permits from the Texas <br /> <br />Department of Highways and Transportation; Harris County; and the <br /> <br />Harris County Flood Control District. Any future relocation of the <br /> <br />pipe line herein permitted, within the City, state, or County <br /> <br />rights-of-way, shall be at the sole expense of permittee. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from <br /> <br />and after its passage and approval, and it is so ordered. <br />
