ORDINANCE NO.' --22~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING A PORTION OF THE
ALLEY LYING WITHIN BLOCK EIGHT HUNDRED TWENTY-FOUR (824), TOWN
OF LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the hereinafter described portion of said alley
in Block Eight Hundred Twenty-four (824), Town of La Porte,
Harris County, Texas, has never been opened or used as a public
thoroughfare, and the public utilities now making use of such
alley have all given written consent for its closing; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of La Porte has
determined and does hereby find, determine and declare that the
hereinafter described portion of the said alley is not suitable,
needed, or beneficial to the public as a public alley, and
should be vacated, abandoned and permanently closed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. That that portion of the alley located in Block
Eight Hundred Twenty-four (824), Town of La Porte, Harris County,
Texas, described as follows, to-wit:
Being that portion of the alley in Block Eight
Hundred Twenty-four (824), TOWN OF LA PORTE,
Harris County, Texas, situated between Lots
One (1) through Nine (9), both inclusive, on
the West side, and being bounded by Lots Twenty-
four (24) through Thirty-two (32), both inclu-
sive, on the East side, being the North two
hundred twenty-five (225) feet of said alley,
sixteen (16) feet wide,
is hereby permanently vacated, abandoned and closed by the City
of La Porte.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
