KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: at Marion M. Baird,
wife of Kenneth H. Baird, of the County of Hr-itat` o Texas,
the owner of the hereinafter. described Lots as her separate pro-
perty and estate, for and in consideration of the sum of Ten Dollars
($10,00) and other good and valuable consideration, receipt of which
is hereby acknowledged, paid to her by the City of La Porte, a muni-
cipal corporation, has Granted, Sold and Conveyed, and by these
presents does Grant, Sell and Convey unto the said City of La Porte, (A�,f

y". of the County of Harris, State of Texas, an Easement for the pur-
�' pose of maintaining, operating, repairing and removing a water line''
and a sewer line, and all necessary laterals thereto, and for 'mak-
ing connection therewith, together with the usual right of ingress
and egress and the obligation to restore the condition of the sur-
face of the land, the said Easement being more particularly described
and located as follows, to -wit:
As said water line and sewer line and laterals thereto
are presently located within that portion of the aban-
doned alley, adjacent to Lots Nineteen (19) through 'Twenty

Two (22), both inclusive, in Block No. One Hundred ,Fifty,-
Seven (157), of the Town of La Porte, in Harris County,
Texas, according to the map or plat thereof recorded in
the Office of the County Clerk of said County, to which
reference is here made for all purposes.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described easement, to-
gether with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto
in anywise belonging, unto the City of La Porte, its successors,
assigns and legal representatives, so long as utilized for the
purposes herein granted, but upon the abandonment thereof by the
City of La Porte, this Easement shall terminate ipso facto.

As the owner and holder of an indebtedness, secured by
Vendors Lien and Deed of Trust upon the above described lots, the
Bayshore Savings Association, acting herein by and through its
duly authorized officers, does hereby join in the execution of
this easement for the purpose of evidencing its acquiescenc:; and
consent thereto, and does hereby adopt, ratify and confirm said
easement upon the terms and conditions herein above set out.

Before me, the undersigned authority, on this day per-
sonally appeared Marion M. Baird, wife of Kenneth H. Baird, Known
to me to be the person whose name is subscribed to the foregoing
instrument, and having been examined by me privily and apart from
her husband, and having the same fully explained to her, she, the
said Marion M. Baird acknowledged such instrument to be her act and
deed, and she declared that she had willingly signed the same for
the purposes and consideration therein expressed, and that she
did not wish to retract it.
