AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE REGULAR ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF LA PORTE ON APRIL 5, 1975, FOR THE ELECTION OF A CITY COMMISSIONER, POSITION 1, AND A CITY COMMISSIONER, POSITION 3. WHEREAS, there was held in the City of La Porte, on the 5th day of April, 1975, an election for the purpose of electing a City Commissioner, Position One (1), and a City Commissioner, Position Three (3), each to serve for a two-year term; and WHEREAS, there were cast at said election for the following listed persons the number of votes opposite their respective names: CITY COMMISSIONER, Position 1: . J. J. Meza 376 Bill Love 381 CITY COMMISSIONER, Position 3: Virginia Cline 400 A. Uel Price 363 as shown in the official election returns heretofore delivered by the Election Judge and officials to the Mayor and City Com- missioners of the City of La Porte and submitted to the City Commission; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: . Section 1. That said election was duly called and notice thereof given in accordance with law; that said election was held in the manner required by law; that due returns of said election have been made by the proper officers; that said returns have been canvassed by the City Commission of the City of La Porte; that a total of 788 persons voted at said election, including persons voting on the regular voting machines, and on the absentee voting machine; that said election has resulted in the election of the following named persons as City Commissioners of the City of La Porte, to-wit: CITY COMMISSIONER, Position 1: . BILL LOVE CITY COMMISSIONER, Position 3: VIRGIN!A CLINE . . Ordinance No. 1013 ,Page 2. . Section 2.
