ORDINANCE NO. 1029
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 3 TO LEASE
NO. W-41-243-ENG-1821, BETWEEN THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, AND
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE:
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of La Porte
hereby approves and authorizes the execution of, Supplemental
Agreement No. 3, to Lease No. W-41-243-ENG-1821, between the
City of La Porte, Texas, and the United States of America, a
true and correct copy of which Supplemental Agreement No. 3
is attached hereto as "Exhibit A," incorporated by reference
herein, and made a part hereof for all purposes.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.

AND
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
THIS SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT made and entered into this the
2nd day of February,"1976, by and between the CITY OF LA PORTE,
TEXAS, whose address is La Porte, Texas, for itself,•its successors
and assigns, hereinafter called the Lessor, and the UNITED STATES
OF AMERICA, hereinafter called the Government:
• W I T N E S S E T H:
WHEREAS, by lease designated as Contract No. W-41-243-eng-1821,
dated 19 October 1948, the Lessor granted unto the Government the
use and occupancy of a .tract of land situated in the County of
Harris, State of Texas, being more particularly described in the
least; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Government to amend the
Original Lease, as amended by Supplemental Agreement No. 1, dated
5 April 1951 and Supplemental Agreement No. 1, dated 1 April 1955,
and the Lessor is agreeable thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto do hereby amend said
Original Lease, as amended, in the following respect and in this
only:
The legal description of the lease property, as contained -
in Paragraph 2 of the Original Lease, is hereby amended so as to
read as follows:

"BEING a tract' -of land out of the W.-M. Jones Survey,
Harris County,.Texas, and being more particularly
described by metes and bounds -as follows:
COMMENCING at a point in the North right-of-way line
of Spencer Highway, said point also being the Southwest
corner of the La Porte Municipal Airport (formerly
Auxiliary Landing..Field No. 2 of Ellington Field,
Texas); ,
THENCE South 890• 33' East with the North -right-of-way
line of Spencer Highway, a -distance of 1,635.00 feet
to the POINT OF BEGINNING, said point also being the
Southwest corner of the herein described tract;
THENCE South 890 33' East continuing with the North
right-of-way line of Spencer Highway, a distance ,of
965.00 feet•to a point for corner;
THENCE North 00 3' 47" East, a distance of 629.29 feet
to a point for corner;
THENCE North 890 33' West, parallel to the -North right-
of-way line of Spencer Highway, a distance of 761.73
feet to a point for corner;
THENCE South 180 West, a.distance of 660.00 feet to the
POINT OF BEGINNING, enclosing a tract of land contain-
ing 12.473 acres more or less."
A,s so amended and supplemented, the Original Lease shall
be and remain in full force and effect during the remainderof
the term thereof as a contract between the parties hereto.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF the parties hereto have executed this
instrument as of the day and year first above written.
