ORDINANCE NO.
1194
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING THE MAYOR OF LOMAX VOICE WITHOUT VOTE
IN CITY COMMISSION MEETINGS UNTIL THE ELECTION OF APRIL, 1981;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE:
Section 1. The consolidation of the City of Lomax with the
City of La Porte has heretofore been approved by the electorate
of each of said cities. Norman L. Malone was elected Mayor of
the City of Lomax at an election on AprilS, 1980.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of La Porte

hereby grants Norman L. Malone, Mayor of the City of Lomax,
voice without vote in City Commission meetings, until the
election of April, 1981.
Section 3. Norman L. Malone shall receive for his services,
a salary of One Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($l, 200.00) per
year, payable in monthly installments of One Hundred Dollars
($100.00) each, and shall be entitled to the reimbursement of
his reasonable expenses incurred in connection wi th City of
La Porte business.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be effective immediately
upon its passage and approval.
