ORDINANCE NO. 1134 AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING A PORTION OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK ONE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTEEN (1113), IN THE TOWN OF LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS. WHEREAS, the North fifty feet (N.50') of the North-South alley in Block One Thousand One Hundred and Thirteen (1113), Town of La Porte, Harris County,'Texas, being a tract of land 16' x 50', adjacent to Lots Twelve (12), Thirteen (13), Thirty (30), and Thirty-one (31), in Block One Thousand One Hundred and Thirteen (1113), Town of La Porte, Harris County, Texas, has never been opened or used as a public thorough- fare, and the public utilities now making use of said portion of such alley have all given their written consent for its closing; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of La Porte has determined and does hereby find, determine and declare that the hereinafter described portion of the said alley is not suitable, needed, or beneficial to the public as a public alley, and should be vacated, abandoned and perma- nently closed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: Section 1. That the North fifty feet (N.50') of the North-South alley in Block One Thousand One Hundred and Thirteen (1113), Town of La Porte, Harris County, Texas, is hereby permanently vacated, abandoned and closed by the City of La Porte. Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
