ORDINANCE NO. 1121

AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING THE CITY COMMISSIONERS TO TERMS AS
MAYOR PRO-TEM OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, FOR THE PERIOD MAY 1,
1978, THROUGH APRIL 30, 1980, BOTH INCLUSIVE; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE:
Section 1. The City Commissioners of the City of La Porte
are hereby appointed to terms as Mayor Pro-Tem of the City of
La Porte, for the period May 1, '1978, through April 30, 1980,
as follows:
Commissioner No. 2
I. J. Kibodeaux---
May 1, 1978, through
October 31, 1978
Commissioner No. 4
Tom Simons
November 1, 1978, through
April 30, 1979
Section 2. Said City Commissioners shall serve in such
e office during their said terms, during the absence or incapacity
of the Mayor and shall do a1l'things, perform all duties, and
in fact have all the powers and duties of the Mayor of the
City of La Porte for their respective terms, during such
absence or incapacity of the Mayor.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval, and it is so
ordered.
