. . ORDINANCE NO. I~J7 AN ORDINANCE BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AMENDED AGREEMENT BETWEEN HARRIS COUNTY AND THE CITY OF LA PORTE REGARDING SYLVAN BEACH PARK; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF WHEREAS, the City of La Porte has previously entered into an agreement with Harris County for the restoration and repair of the pavilion building and other improvements at Harris County Sylvan Beach Park; and WHEREAS, Harris County and the City of La Porte have amended the original agreement, and 'Harris County will provide funds in the amount of $40,000 to aid the City of La Porte in the repair and restoration of the pavilion building, and said City of La Porte and Harris County have agreed upon specific requirements to be performed in such restoration. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS Section 1. That the City of La Porte hereby approves the amended agreement with Harris County for the repair and restoration of the pavilion building at Sylvan Beach Park, as set out in the amended agreement, a copy of which is attached to this Ordinance as "Exhibit An. Section 2. The City Council officially finds, determines, recites and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council was posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of the City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, as required by the Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated; and that this meeting has been open to the public as required.
