ORDINANCE NO. 1518 AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING INGE BROWDER, POSITION 2, TO THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF EDWARD MURPHREE, ON THE CITY OF LA PORTE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION; CONTAINING A REPEALING CLAUSE; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: Section 1. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby appoints Im':e Browder, to the unexpired term of Edward Murphree, Position 2, on the City of La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission, for the term expiring lpril 30, 1987, or until his successor shall have been duly appointed and qualified. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinance in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict only. Sectior.L3. The City Council officially finds, det.ermines, recites and declares that a sufficient written nqtice of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council was posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of the City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, as required by the Open Meetings LawJ Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated; and that this meeting has been open to the pUblic as required by law at all times during which this ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, considered and formally acted upon. The City Councjl. further ratifies, approves and confirms such written notice and the contents and posting thereof. Section 4. This Ordinance shall be effective from and after its passage and approval. PASSED AND APPROVED, this the 27th day of October, 1986.
