. . ORDINANCE NO. 1519 AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING CECIL KNIGHT TO THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF LAWRENCE FARIAS, POSITION 2; APPOINTING DEBORAH BERNAY TO THE POSITION OF ALTERNATE 1; AND APPOINTING JAMES M. PARSON TO THE POSITION OF ALTERNATE 2, ON THE CITY OF LA PORTE ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT; CONTAINING A REPEALING CLAUSE; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: Section 1. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby appoints Cecil Knight to the unexpired term of Lawrence Farias, Position 2; Deborah Bernay to the position of Alternate 1; and James M. Parson to the position of Alternate 2, on the City of La Porte Zoning BORrd of Adjustment, for the terms expiring April 30, 1987, or until their successors shall have been duly appointed and qualified. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinance in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict only. Section ~. The City Council officially finds, determines, recites and decJares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council was posted at a plane convenient to the pUblic at the City HaJ1 of the City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, as required by the Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated; and that this meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all times during which this ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, considered and formally acted upon. The City Council further ratifies, approves and confirms such written notice and the contents and posting thereof. Section 4. This Ordinance shall be effective from and after its passaee and approval. PASSED AND APPROVED, this the 27th day of October, 1986.
